The Deeds Office is responsible for keeping an updating all records related to property ownership in South Africa. Each Deeds Office operates in a specific area and all property registrations are handled by that Deeds Office. There are 11 Deeds Offices in South Africa with the head office in Pretoria. Apart from property information, the Deeds Office also keeps a record of all Marriage / Antenuptial Contracts (ANC). This means that you can get a copy of an ANC from the Deeds Office as well.
